To perform it, put the foot of one of your legs on a raised platform (i.e., bench) while holding two dumbbells (one to one hand). Your palms should face the side of your legs. Climb down with the second leg by moving the hip and knee of the first leg. Go back to the starting position by placing the foot of the first leg on the floor.
